I hope you are as excited as I am about this newest chipset from Intel. I can guarantee you that I will have a lot more to say about the ASRock Z390 Taichi once the embargo on the 9000 series lifts. For now, I would like to commend ASRock on designing and executing a superb motherboard. The ASRock Taichi is a time-tested, rock-solid product line, and this latest addition carries that legacy well. I especially like the M.2 heatsink being moved into an area that will receive better airflow in most cases, and the postcode display with it to reduce crowding on the upper-left corner of the board.
Minor design tweaks aside, ASRock has done an excellent job in keeping the clean look and quality feel on the Taichi. The Taichi line has commonly included a wireless networking solution in the past, and the new implementation of Intel's CNVi should take the Z390 Taichi to the next level. ASRock has always had a good feel for the needs of the market and a keen eye for functionality. While I do not have pricing information to share at this time, I would be willing to bet that the the ASRock Z390 Taichi will be a strong contender for best price/performance in the mainstream sector.
Please keep a close watch for my full review of the ASRock Z390 Taichi, and if you haven't already, check out my preview of the MEG Z390 GODLIKE which went live earlier today.
