The ASRock Z490 Taichi features a 14-phase VRM in a ((6+1) x2) +1 configuration. That's six doubled phases for Vcore, one doubled phase for the iGPU section of the SOC, and a single phase for system agent power delivery.

The Taichi Intersil ISL69269 PWM controller, which can drive a total of 12 distinct phases, is paired with ISL6617A doublers for all power stages except the system agent section below the CPU socket.

The ASRock Z490 Taichi uses Vishay SIC654 power stages for all 14 primary phases. These power stages support a maximum of 50 A of continuous current each and feature both overcurrent and overtemperature protection. When paired with the robust VRM cooling solution, the Taichi should be a capable overclocker.

The ASRock Z490 Taichi has a maximum output of 700 A, with 600 A dedicated to Vcore.
