ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT (Intel LGA1150) Review

Packaging

The ASUS MAXIMUS VI IMPACT comes in a box similar to that of any other ASUS ROG product, with the distinctive design we all know to look for, although the box is a whole lot smaller this time around. The usual flap on top covers the product’s features, and while there is more information on the bottom, all of it is quite ordinary and boring.

You will find all the typical items once you open the box: a plastic cover on top of a multi-layered box design that holds all the included accessories listed below.

Contents

There is a fair bit of stuff here, including a couple of extras, like a pin-block extender to make case wiring a bit simpler, enough SATA 6 Gb/s cables for every port, and ASUS's proprietary wireless antenna. A full list of what I found is below:
  • User's manual
  • 1x ROG I/O shield
  • 1 x ROG SUPREMEFX IMPACT module
  • 1 x ROG MPCIe COMBO II module
  • 4 x SATA 6Gb/s cables
  • 1 x ASUS 2T2R dual-band Wi-Fi moving antennas (Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac compliant)
  • 1 x Front-panel cable kit
  • 1 x ROG case badge
  • 1 x ROG SATA Cable Label kit
  • 1 x Driver disc
