Control

Control

Released: 2019 — API: DirectX 12 — Engine: Northlight
Control is a third-person action-adventure set inside a building that changes its shape to open up new areas and rooms. There's also a strong psychological-thriller storyline, which the developer Remedy Entertainment has mastered since the original Max Payne days. A rescue mission inside a secretive government building for a disappeared loved one turns into a battle for survival as the building is a containment facility for two warring transdimensional lifeforms. A self-morphing energy weapon and abilities you acquire, such as telekinesis and levitation, guide you through a perilous journey to the outside.

Based on the new Northlight engine by Remedy, Control takes advantage of both DirectX 12 and DirectX 11 and can be heavily taxing on the system. The game also uses multiple features of the NVIDIA RTX real-time ray-tracing technology and DLSS performance enhancement. We used DirectX 12 mode with RTX and DLSS turned off.
