Board Software
ASUS's included software bundle is the usual over-the-top ROG package and starts with ASUS's proprietary AISuite III. As the main interface for most board-specific hardware options, monitoring, and for updating tools, AISuite has matured into a nearly perfect mix of functionality and ease-of-use for those that want to get the most out of their motherboard from within the OS.
VRM control options, voltages, clocks, and even fan profiles can all be changed and managed in AI SUITE III, and I am not left wanting for more, or feel there is too much. It can all be found in one spot, although ASUS included a few other bits of software to support everything the RAMPAGE IV BLACK EDITION board is capable of.
ROG-based tools like MemTweakIt, a ROG-skinned version of CPU-Z, and GameFirst II, a CFOS-based LAN-traffic-management utility, also install off the disc.
There is even a copy of ASUS's RAMDisk software for those that want to populate every DIMM slot for ultra-fast storage. Another software tool will pop you directly into the BIOS on the next reboot since the boot-up process only takes a few seconds with Windows8/8.1 FastBoot enabled, which makes getting into the BIOS by mashing the F2 or Delete keys difficult.
