The ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme features a teamed 20-phase VRM configuration
ASUS is using an Infineon XDPE132G5D PWM controller to drive the ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme.
The ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme uses Texas Instruments 95410 power stages for the eighteen Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 90 A of continuous current. For the SoC phases, ASUS is using two teamed Texas Instruments 95410 90 A power stages as well.
The ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme has a maximum output of 1,800 A, with 1,620 A dedicated to Vcore.
