Shape

The Keris is best described as a smaller Zowie EC2. In terms of width and length, the Keris doesn't differ all that much from the EC2, but it's noticeably less bulky overall and doesn't flare out as much towards the front and back. At the same time, the raised left side is almost as tall as on the EC2, so the curve from the left to the right is more pronounced on the Keris, resulting in a greater shift in height. Curiously, the back and front flare out more on the right side, whereas there is barely any difference in width from the front to the back on the left side. Especially the widening back on the right side felt irritating at first and took me a while to get used to. The main buttons are another peculiarity, extending across the entire width and dipping down towards the sides, similarly to the Microsoft Wheel Mouse Optical. While a rather uncommon design choice, there is little difference functionally compared to other button designs. In general, the Keris quite literally has a fairly well-rounded design with no sharp edges or aggressive curves. Overall, a good shape that works well in practice.

As for grip styles, I'd say the Keris is suitable for both palm and claw grip, with fingertip grip at least possible. It's a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which makes it suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the Keris comfortable in claw grip.

Dimensions

This table includes the dimensions of the ASUS ROG Keris and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
