The ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming features a neutral black aesthetic, accented by lines of white as well as a purple mirrored section over the rear I/O.


The RGB on the ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming is excellent, with good brightness and flawless diffusion.

G.SKILL generously provided their excellent Trident Z Neo kit. Along with the new hardware, I will be implementing a new testing standard. Moving forward, I will be testing new platforms with XMP enabled.

Note: CPU-Z was not reporting voltage accurately for my testing of the ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming. Power consumption numbers in the testing below are still accurate as they were measured outside of the software.
