The ASUS Z170-DELUXE comes with a fairly extensive set of added hardware and such. A full list of what I found with the ASUS Z170-DELUXE inside the box is below:
  • 1 x User's manual
  • 1 x ASUS Q-Shield
  • 6 x SATA 6Gb/s cable
  • 1 x Feature manual
  • 2 x M.2 screw package
  • 1 x CPU installation tool
  • 1 x Driver DVD
  • 1 x ASUS 3T3R dual band Wi-Fi antenna
  • 1 x HYPERM.2 X4 MINI PCIe x4 card
  • 1x HYPERKIT M.2 to U.2 adapter card
  • 1 x SLI bridge
  • 1 x Q-connector (2 in 1)

First and foremost, for those of you into the latest storage technologies, ASUS has included the ASUS HYPERKIT M.2 to U.2 adapter card you can slide into the onboard M.2 slot for NVME SSD support.

The backplate cover is padded, which is great on your fingers when you get the board installed, while acting as protective grounding to a standard backplate. There is also a CPU Installation aid clip I'll go into a bit more detail on as I install everything.

The clip is purported to make installing and removing your CPU a fair bit easier, and given the new socket designs, it is a device I myself am glad to see. The provided directions on how to use it are fairly straightforward as well.

Also included is an add-in PCIe x4 card with an additional M.2 port, so you can add two M.2 devices and use them in RAID for even faster drive speeds than what such devices can support on their own.

Then there are a set of stickers you can place on your keyboard to denote the keys you assigned to the Key Express functions offered by the ASUS Z170-DELUXE board via physical switches. This includes CMOS clearing, enabling XMP, EPU, and TPU modes, USB BIOS Flashback, and a few other functions that are normally enabled over physical on-board switches only.

There are also some screws for you to attach an M.2 SSD to and a pin block to make wiring in your case a bit easier.
