Performance Rating

The following graph compares the total performance rating of the NAS to that of other units. The comparison is pretty straight forward: The tested unit is shown as 100% and all other units' performance is relative to it. Please note that we only measure raw performance in the graph below, not its available features and functionality.

Performance per Dollar

The following graph will be the most interesting to most of you since it shows how much the performance of your NAS will set you back. We looked the current USD price of each NAS up on the popular online shop Newegg and used it and all relative performance numbers to calculate the performance-per-dollar index. We searched for the unit at other popular online shops (Tigerdirect or Amazon) if Newegg didn’t have a specific unit in stock, and searched other popular EU shops (e.g. Caseking) if the unit was not sold in the U.S., converting its price to dollars.
