Output Noise

For these measurements, we used a high-quality CEM-8852 Sound DB Meter that was installed 50cm away from the NAS. The ambient noise in our lab during noise measurements was close to 30dBA.



The NAS features a pretty silent operation, especially for a product that mainly targets business environments. Even at full speed, the cooling fan outputs only 37 dBA noise - a value that would make any administrator very happy.

Output Noise Comparison Graphs

The following graphs show the output noise of AS-606T in comparison to other units we have tested in the past.





The maximum output noise that the AS-606T registered is by far the lowest we have ever measured in a NAS product. A low RPM fan with a fairly large diameter proved to be a really good choice.
