Output Noise

We use a CEM-8852 Sound DB Meter that is installed 50 cm away from the NAS for these measurements. Ambient noise in our lab was below 30 dBA while these noise measurements were taken.

Output Noise Comparison Graphs

The following graphs show the Asustor AS3102T's output noise, comparing it other units we have tested in the past.


The AS3102T will produce very little noise under normal operating temperatures. With the fan operating at mid-speeds, it is audible, and it does become annoyingly loud at full throttle. However, it never had to operate at full speed in of our testing sessions.
