The BIOSTAR Racing B460GTA features a 8-phase VRM configuration.

BIOSTAR is using an ON Semiconductor PCP81229 PWM controller, which supports up to eight phases to drive the Racing B460GTA.

The Biostar Racing X570GT uses discrete MOSFETs and drivers rather than integrated smart power stages. For the high side MOSFETs, Biostar is using Sinopower SM4377 units on all eight phases; for the low side MOSFETs, Sinopower SM4364A units are used—two for each phase for greater current-handling capability.

This lower-cost solution is far less efficient, but given the strict power limits imposed on B460 boards, it is more than enough.
