The Biostar Racing X570GT is a clean board with a neutral aesthetic. It lacks sophistication, but not charm. The simple lines and unobtrusive branding will make this board easily fit in with a wide variety of builds. While it has RGB expansion headers, it would have been nice to at least see one RGB LED zone come integrated with the board itself.

As for performance, memory stability was up there with most X570 boards I have tested, although not quite the highest I have seen; I think Biostar can improve performance with future BIOS revisions. CPU overclocking was pretty good. I was able to finally reach 4.475 GHz stable all core at 1.45 V, again on par with many other X570 boards. Biostar has all the basic tweaking built in, although not as much as other brands. The VRM is a particular weakness, using only four Vcore phases with discrete MOSFETs rather than smart power stages and no additional heat sink for extra cooling. While temperatures remained manageable with my Ryzen 5 3600X, I would be hesitant to pair this board with the 3900X.

The Biostar Racing X570GT comes in at $159.99, putting it down with the most affordable X570 boards. The Micro ATX form factor is rare these days, but the X570GT lacks the biggest draw of this form factor: multi-GPU support in an SFF package. With just one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, the X570GT has little to offer over much more compact Mini ITX options, and much less than full ATX options. Additionally, the total lack of any USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports despite native support on the X570 chipset is unacceptable, and the single M.2 slot is disappointing. Frankly speaking, this board design would be better suited to a B450 chipset with a much lower price tag.

Bottom line: US$160 is far too much to spend on a board with this feature set, and I cannot recommend the Biostar Racing X570GT.
