GeCube
GeCube has been presenting a load of new passively cooled video cards from the Radeon X1000 series.
There is a big lineup of X1600 cards. From a powerful XT running on AGP with an extra power connector down to a low profile PCI-Express X1600 Pro which should be a good choice for small form factor systems.
The available range of Radeon X1300 products is pretty similar.
This dual X1600XT "Gemini" is a single slot design and comes with two X1600 XT GPUs on the PCB. Looking at the PCB's version number I see "0.1" which probably means that this is far from launch and may have been a mock-up prototype.
Also on display were SFF systems which displayed the benefits of using low-profile video cards.
Sparkle
At Sparkle the only new products were NVIDIA cards following the reference design.
The cards are GeForce 7900 GTX 512 MB GDDR3, GeForce 7900 GT 256 MB GDDR3 and GeForce 7600 GT 256 MB GDDR3.
Sparkle offers a special programme with their GeForce 6600 "Calibre" video card series. Users will benefit from features like stock overclocking, improved warranty and better support:
Sirtec
Sirtec is a big player in the OEM power supply business. You will find their PSUs included with many cases and also companies that sell PSUs in their own name are using Sirtec engineering.
Now Sirtec is going more into the enthusiast market with powerful PSUs.
The HPC-620-A88S is the current top of the line model with three 12V lines for a total wattage of 620W. This power supply comes with EPS power connector for even the most power hungry motherboards.
620 Watts isn't enough for you? Here comes their new 850W unit which is still under development. It has FOUR! 12V lines, each being able to handle up to 18A. This is a crazy 768W on the 12V rails alone. Sounds like a good Quad-SLI PSU.
All new high-end PSUs from Sirtec have this integrated Watts Viewer on the backside. It displays the current power consumption of the system. We have seen similar solutions from Thermaltake in the past but they took up a 5.25" slot. Personally I like Sirtecs solution better because you don't lose the slot and can still easily take a look.
For the green (no not NVIDIA) environment friendly people this "GreenPower" PSU has been engineered to offer an especially high efficiency ratio. Sirtec guarantees 80% efficiency under any load scenario. Many other manufacturers give 80% only under certain temperature or load conditions. Also included is an automatic fan control circuit which keeps noise levels down.
