CeBIT 2007: EVGA & Innovatec Review

EVGA and Innovatec are presenting their products together at this year's CeBIT. There is an EVGA GeForce 8800 GTX utilizing the Innovatec water block on display. The unit comes pre-assembled so you will not need to replace the cooling unit yourself. An 8800 GTS 320MB with the ACS cooling solution is also shown off.

The GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB looks just like the 320 MB variant with the ACS cooling. There is an nForce 570 based mainboard being shown as well. It looks fairly reference and features active cooling.

The most interesting display at the booth is the completely water cooled nForce 680i board with two water cooled EVGA GeForce 8800GTX in SLI inside a Silverstone case.

EVGA also has the bare board to look at. It features Innovatec water cooling blocks on all the important parts of the mainboard: north- and south bridge as well as voltage regulators. The CPU also gets the water block treatment. The entire board will cost $800-900 dollars including all the blocks and comes pre-assembled.

Innovatec is also showing off their products. The large radiator is meant to be secured on the side of a computer case and does not need any active cooling due to its size. There is an X1800 water block inside the glass case as well.

Innovatec sells everything needed for water cooling. They offer entire kits or parts, so you can create a system just as you like it. Here you can see a water block, reservoir and Eheim pump in parts and then the assembled unit, hooked up to a blue CPU block and 12 cm radiator. Innovatec offers the reservoir and blocks in different colors to further adress the needs of modders, who theme their computers in different colors.

There are a few different hard drive coolers as well. These actually enclose the entire hard drive and can be connected to the water cooling loop. There are variants for 2.5 and 3.5 inch hard drives on display. Right next to that you will find liquid metal pads and a syringe with liquid metal. This is a new type of thermal paste with very good thermal characteristics.

You can also take a close look the different reservoirs from Innovatec. One is rather tall and slim, while the other can be secured just like a fan. There is an LCD display called the Fan-O-Matic with which you can control your system fans by the push of a button.

Lastly, traditional radiators in different sizes are present at the booth. There are a single 8 cm, a double 8 cm, a 12 cm and a hard drive radiator to be found behind the glass.
