Considering the fact, that the Chieftec HM-02B uses Soundgraph hardware, which we have covered in various reviews, I do not want to bore you with installation screen shot. If you do want to read up on the identical unit found within the case, take a look at our Soundgraph iMON VFD review. It features all the software screen shots and installation instructions.

I do however want to mention that the choice of the Soundgraph system is an excellent one. You get a complete offering from a single source. This means that the software for the HTPC, VFD and remote can be set up easily and you can expect great support for both Windows XP and Vista. The HTPC software is a great replacement if you decide to skip Windows MCE or want to use the lean Vista Business variant. There is a reason that Soundgraph is being used by so many different case manufacturers and it is great to see that Chieftec does so as well.

Finally, below is a little gallery of various functions of the VFD. These range from weather, sports and general news over statistics about your current PC usage (network traffic, bandwith use, memory allocation) to the possibilty to control media files or to use it as a simple clock.
