A Look Inside »

Packaging

The CSP-X1200CB comes in a similar package like the 1000W model. On the face of the box there is a picture of the unit over a black-blue gradient background. On the right bottom there are four badges for CrossfireX, SLI, 80 Plus Silver and the 1200W capacity. On the rear of the box we find more details about the unit such as available connectors, cable length, power specs etc.

Contents

The contents of the box are protected by packing foam and the PSU is further protected by a synthetic bag. The bundle includes a nylon pouch to store the unused modular cables, an AC power cord, a user's manual and a quick installation guide, a set of fixing bolts and several Velcro ties. Here we must note that the AC power cord is quite thin for the 1200W of the PSU. It may state that it can handle up to 16A but it's the first time we see such a thin power cord with a 1000-1200W unit.

Exterior

Like CSP-X1000CB, the unit features a black light-matte finish and a blue fan. The rear exhaust utilizes the classic honeycomb design and there are some ventilation holes on the sides. Overall the external manufacturing quality is quite good.
