CM Storm has a winner with the NovaTouch TKL. The Topre switches with their MX-series stem make it easy to enjoy all the benefits of the Topre switch along with your favorite MX toppings. This is an ideal switch for me because I tend to game and write. Compared to Cherry MX Reds, its actuation force and noise output is probably something most will enjoy. Once you get the hang of it, typing fatigue is slightly less than on MX Browns, which we hold in high regard for their mixture of comfort and gaming performance.
You get a brilliant combination of both typing speed and precision, and it is great for gaming to boot. The Topre switch is definitely the one to beat when it comes to typing, and for gaming, it holds its own against the Cherry MX Reds, Browns, and Blacks of this world. Its lower noise output is just an added bonus.
People's preferences obviously vary quite a bit - the NovaTouch is for people looking for a keyboard with low to medium actuation force and linear feedback. The only major drawback we could point to with the NovaTouch TKL is the price as its MSRP of $199 is a bit too hefty for our liking. This deck would be a no-brainer for the avid writer and gamer with a street price of around $150; but you still get a lot of performance for your dollar despite its price, which is nice to see.
