Performance

In terms of performance, the Pitch Pro is a decent step up from the original Pitch. It still does not quite sound as good as the SoundMagic and Brainwavz offerings in the same price range, but neither of those come with such an extensive bundle. The midrange is slightly grainy still, and the amount of detail is not staggering; however, price considered, it is alright, though not a revelation. The treble performance is also lacking. The bass is definitely up as compared to the Pitch, but the low-end is about the same. The new Pitch Pro is perhaps slightly warmer sounding throughout and has a more natural sound to it, although the difference isn't huge.

The microphone performs quite nicely on the device we tested it with. The microphone is pretty quite for something that is omni-directional and mounted to a cable.

Wearing comfort is OK, but the flat cable removes the possibility of comfortably running the cable over your ears in order to reduce microphonics and the pull on the earphones. With the current tip selection, I was able to get a good fit; however, it lacks a foam option for those with slightly off-sized and differently shaped ear-canals.

Noise attenuation is a bit behind that of fully closed balanced armature-based earphones. Compared to the HiFiMAN RE-400, the Pitch Pro is pretty equal if you use the same tips on both. Here, it would have been great of CM Storm to supply a set of foam plugs, or at least a set with a slightly different geometry. Getting a good and snug fit is paramount, and a set of long tips could be a great addition due to the cable-exit hole and shape of these in-ears. Since CM Storm uses the standard for its tip diameter, getting a set of long foam tips might be a good bet for some users.
