Even though it has been presented first at Cebit we have shots of the inside of the Fusion Supporter now. As you can see there is a load of capacitors inside the unit. When the system powers on the Fusion Supporter will charge the capacitors and buffer a certain amount of charge. Now every time your PSU supplies instable voltage to the unit it will use this charge to stabilize the video card power supply. Please note that this is not an UPS, which is a completely different concept. Here specifically the VGA voltage is made more stable.


It seems Arctic Cooling has a new electrical engineering expert in the house. This new PSU is only a prototype but the final design will look very similar to this. You can see this black fan which is made by AC. It is designed to be very quiet while still offering sufficient cooling. The whole Fusion Pro PSU is made to offer an efficiency of 80%, up to 90% in some cases. This high efficiency reduces your power bill and needs less cooling inside the PSU making it even quieter.
