Closer Look

The desk's parts are manufactured from good quality materials, evident from their weight and the detailed finish.

The desk is primarily black but has purple stripes on both sides to match the brand's color scheme. Honestly, if you don't set it on fire accidentally, I believe the GD120 desk will be stored or given away only if you decide to upgrade. With dimensions of 120 x 75 cm (47.2 x 29.5") and 74 cm (29.1") height, it is described as a compact desk to fit narrow spaces, but as you might notice from the pictures, it is wide enough to fit a MacBook Pro (16-inch) with ease and a lot more. With a maximum 100 kg (220.5 lb.) weight, it can lift more than one monitor, which is what most of us opt for, a full keyboard, and many other peripherals.

The desk is adorned with one ARGB LED strip on the front edge, visible from the user's sitting position, which may be modified through the MasterPlus+ App to match the rest of your Cooler Master's peripherals. Unfortunately, the app is not compatible with MAC and Linux operating systems.

A steel cable tray is attached under the desk's rear opening to fit all cables, and a black mousepad is included in the bundle.

There is only one mention of the company: its logo engraved on the front of the desk in white, and on the mouse mat's corner.

MasterPlus+ Application

There is an application through which you can control any Cooler Master product with RGB lighting, including this desk. First, you have to connect it using the provided USB cable, with your system.

The lighting effects look nice, especially in a low-light environment. You can select any of the provided preset lighting profiles, edit them or create your own. If you own other CM products with RGB lighting that are compatible with MasterPlus+, RGB lighting effects can be synchronized. I am not a huge fan of ARGB lighting, but I enjoyed the final result with this desk.
