Cooler Master GM34-CWQ ARGB Review - Quantum Dots For the Win

Introduction

Cooler Master Logo

Cooler Master joined the busy gaming monitor market back in 2019, so somewhat surprisingly the GM34-CWQ ARGB is the brand's first monitor we're reviewing. Let's not trouble ourselves with that though to instead focus on this 34-inch ultrawide monitor sporting a curved Quantum Dot VA panel with a 144 Hz refresh rate, specified 0.5 ms MPRT response time, and AMD FreeSync Premium certification.

Looking at the technical specification sheet, what also draws attention is the 65 W USB-C power delivery support. Together with a pair of USB Type-A upstream ports, the GM34-CWQ ARGB has the potential to be a capable productivity monitor, although there's no mistaking that Cooler Master sees it as a gaming monitor first and foremost since its base has an ARGB lighting system for that extra bit of gaming flare on your table.
