CoolIT have done an incredible job with their Domino A.L.C. all-in-one CPU water cooler. It offers excellent performance that can rival the best air cooling has to offer. Even on the "silent" fan setting it keeps the CPU comfortably cool offering lower temperatures than the other air coolers in our test group. CoolIT has also managed to make the silent mode very quiet. While it is not totally noiseless it is so quiet that you will not hear the unit outside of the case when you have one additional fan installed. Need more cooling performance during overclocking? The "full" mode is just the press of a button away. In this mode the fan will run at its full speed (yes it's noisy) and reach up to 5°C lower temperatures. A third mode called PWM offers the best of both worlds by controlling the fan speed according to temperature.
Even though it is a water cooling solution, installation is a breeze. You don't have to fill up the system, drain it of air, nor do any leak testing. Installation is basically as easy as that of any CPU cooler, you just have to accomodate two components in your case. One requirement of the system is that your case must have a 120 mm fan slot available where the radiator can go. Most cases in which you'd want to install a system like the CoolIT Domino ALC should have that anyway.
Of course you can not expect the cooling performance of a several hundred dollar custom built high-end watercooling system, but for the typical overclocker the offered performance should be plenty. It also lets you get your feet wet with watercooling, so you can get some experience with its handling and what to expect. Being offered at a competitive price point of $79 it will be hard to find a unit comparable to the CoolIT Domino ALC - that offers all the refined features like easy installation, fan control and LCD display.
Basically, if you are looking for the cheapest water cooling solution for your CPU or simply want a great cooler for your CPU in the Domino’s price range, you shouldn’t have to think twice.
