A Closer Look - Outside

Out of the box, the Carbide 600C makes a very clean, understated impression. Corsair refrained from adding intricate design elements to the enclosure and has kept it as symmetrical as possible. A large window on the right side will allow you to look at the entire inverted motherboard once installed, and two layers of plastic protect this side from fingerprints and scratches.

The window on the chassis's main side is framed nicely. There is a large handle you can flip the window open with for access to the interior. Unfortunately, there is no lock here for some added security should you take your system to a public event. The other side is completely flat and solid, which further cements the 600C's understated design.

The front hides two 5.25" drive bays behind a door that opens to the left, and there is a small Corsair logo in the bottom-right corner of the solid front panel. Turn to the rear and it becomes obvious that the interior has been flipped upside down sincethe PSU bay at the top.

Taking a closer look, the bottom holds a 140mm retail quality fan which pushes air out through the back. Above it are the eight expansion slots, each protected by its own reusable covers. You will find the PSU bay at the very top, with a removable frame since you will need to slide the PSU in through this side.

The I/O is at the chassis's otherwise completely solid top. It consists of a pair of USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 plugs, the usual audio I/O, and a 3-speed fan controller. The bottom comes with a large and removable dust filter that covers all fan-placement opportunities on the floor.
