Corsair Builder CX430 V2 430 W Review

A Look Inside »

Packaging

The package, actually a plain cardbox, is fairly simple and reflects the price of the PSU. On the front there is a scheme of the unit and the model number is highlighted with large, bold, fonts. On the rear of the box we find a brief reference to the characteristics of the Builder series and a description of the connectors that the CX430 V2 is equipped with.

Contents

Inside the package the PSU is protected by bubble wrap, which seems to be the cheaper alternative than packaging foam. The rest of the bundle includes a set of fixing bolts, a user's manual that is common to all Builder series PSUs and is referring to previous models and not the V2 ones, a Corsair badge, an AC power cord and some zip ties.

Exterior

Although the unit belongs to the low price category it features a nice black matte finish, all of its cables are fully sleeved back into the housing and there is a grommet around the cables' exit hole. In general the external quality is definitely above its price tag. Finally the PSU has pretty compact dimensions and will fit even in small chassis without any problems.
