Out of the box, the iCUE 465X RGB scores points for a clean and functional design. Essentially, the choice of glass as a material dictates the look of the chassis as Corsair opted for such a panel on the front of the case as well. It is slightly tinted and placed far enough away from the three pre-installed fans to allow for unobstructed airflow.

As there isn't really much Corsair can do to make the chassis stand out visually, all the fans come equipped with RGB elements, and the dust filter in the front, which you may remove for easy cleaning, has an x-shape covering each cooling unit.

In the rear, things looks quite normal with the PSU located on the bottom. Looking at the main side panel, the iCUE 465X comes with a full-size glass panel that is also slightly tinted and held in place with four thumb screws. On the opposite side, a solid metal panel hides the cable mess you may have.

Taking a closer look at the back, the PSU has quite a bit of space to the left and right as the chassis is quite wide. Above that are the seven vertical and two horizontal expansion-slot brackets. Each horizontal cover is held in place by thumb screws, but the two additional ones are unfortunately of the breakout kind. In the very top, you will find another fan-mounting possibility for a 120 mm unit. Thanks to the elongated mounting holes, you may adjust its height to align perfectly with the system within for pushing hot air out the back of the enclosure.

Corsair also includes the ability to install two 120 fans or one 140 mm fan in the ceiling, which is a bit unusual as plenty of other cases allow for either two 120 or two 140 mm in such a setup. You may also install a 240 mm liquid-cooling setup here if you like and should have no issues with the motherboard as the mounting holes have been offset away from that area. In the front edge, you will find a pretty standard set of I/O with two USB 3.0 and an audio combo plug. Unlike some brands, Corsair has not included a splitter, so your headset better come with that all-in-one connector. To both sides, the plugs are hugged by either a power button or a reset button.

There is a dust filter on the underside of the chassis, which you may easily pull out through the back of the chassis for cleaning.
