Corsair Gaming K70 RGB Mechanical Keyboard Review

Introduction

Corsair's latest gaming keyboard creation is the K70 RGB, a, basically, multi-colored, backlit K70. The keyboard is for gamers and features a wealth of features. It has a fully equipped media-control area and an extensive driver suite through which you can tweak pretty much all performance aspects. Besides gaming, one could foresee this becoming quite the hit with people who do video editing at home because you can assign colors on a per button basis.

Specifications

  • 100% Cherry MX Mechanical keyswitches
  • 32-bit ARM Processor
  • Panasonic display controller
  • Up to 1000 Hz USB report rate: 8ms, 4ms, 2ms, 1ms, and BIOS mode

The Package

The keyboard ships in a well-padded box. The first thing you notice when you get your hands on it is how heavy Corsair's new keyboard is.

Cable-wise, Corsair has gone for a very thick, woven jack one. The strain relief is mighty and so are the over-molded y-split and two USB connectors.
