Packaging

The Corsair Obsidian 550D ships in the same kind of packaging as most of the company's other enclosures. Full color packaging is becoming rarer by the day, but if that means that consumers end up paying less for a product - so be it. You will find a simple image of the chassis on the front and a blow up diagram on the rear of the cardboard box. There are no holes to grab the package on the sides, Instead there is some more info found on here, along with another prominent display of the model name.

Two thick Styrofoam spacers and additional cardboard piece have been used to secure the product within the package. A plastic back further protects the new chassis from fingerprints and scratches during the packaging process at the factory.

Contents

You will receive a simple manual and a red pamphlet with warranty and exchange information, along with a wide selection of all black screws. These come sorted in various bags and Corsair even includes long ones to allow you to install large fans or radiators within the chassis. Four additional plastic clips have also been included, which are replacement parts for those already installed in the door locking mechanism. A USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 cable rounds up the set of contents that ship with the Obsidian 550D.
