Initial Setup
Installing this memory into two different systems allows us to get a better idea of what it may look like while up and running. Overall, these look fantastic as always, with a great and uniform RGB implementation. Corsair has stuck with just the brand logo instead of "Vengeance" written across the light diffuser, which is great to see. Often illuminated text can be distracting if it doesn't match the rest of the system. By just having the Corsair logo, it is a decent compromise between those who prefer to show off what brands are being used for the system and those who want the focal point to be something else.
Note: The bright spots in both corners of the RAM in these pictures are because the colors were changing as the photo was taken. Still images pick up on things normally not seen. In real-life the LEDs are rapidly changing between colors with the default "rainbow" effect.
Enabling XMP Profile
The Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-7000 memory kit had no stability issues during the testing phase. However, a quick reminder that compatibility will greatly depend on the motherboard OEM. Corsair does have a publicly available compatibility list, but it is still advised to contact technical support for questions related to compatibility. The other option is to look at the motherboards QVL list for further confirmation. From testing various motherboards, it is advised to only use this memory with an Intel
Z790 based motherboard and an Intel
13th Generation Processor. This is because many
Z690 motherboards are not validated to supported 7000 MT/s by the motherboard manufacturer. Pairing this memory kit with an Intel 12th Gen CPU and a
Z790 motherboard instead is also not guaranteed to work. This is because the Intel 12th Gen CPU internal memory controller (IMC) limitation falls anywhere between 6800 MT/s and 7400 MT/s using voltages that are good for daily usage. For best results, it is always suggested to seek out the motherboards manufacturer memory QVL list.
