Battery Life and Power Consumption

Battery life is something to pay attention to. With power profiling built into adjusting the fan curve, its easy to get a bit more battery life via the provided "quiet mode" with a couple button presses. Be that as it may, we test under default power profiling, which for this Voyager a1600, leaves it full guns blazing; left in extreme mode. Even so, the APU of the Voyager a1600 seemed locked at 400 MHz while unplugged, giving significantly reduced performance, yet stellar battery life. Over four hours watching Netflix is a lot.


It would have been great to see the power plug change its color based on power usage, but its lit end makes it easy to find in reduced lighting when you need to plug the Voyager a1600 in, which provides the Voyager a1600 with a very decent 73 minute charge time.
