Design and Ergonomics
Corsair did an outstanding job with the design of the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C. This is, without a doubt, one of the best-looking ultrawide monitors on the market. I love that its white exterior isn't glossy or plasticky. Instead, the designers opted for a combination of muted white and silver tones throughout. It looks stunning - more so in real life than in pictures. The build quality is very good. The monitor feels quite robust, primarily thanks to its metal stand and the hard, slightly textured plastic on the back. The only area I'd happily change is the bezels surrounding the panel. They're black, surprisingly thick, annoyingly glossy, and not particularly attractive. If you're wondering about the size of the panel, it measures 81.2 centimeters (31.97 in) in width, and 36 centimeters (14.17 in) in height.
The modest 1800R curve has repeatedly proven to be the optimal choice for 34-inch ultrawide monitors.
A look around the back reveals a large cutout for cables positioned on the lower third of the stand, along with two other interesting details: the rear-facing orientation of the ports and a web of ventilation cutouts. Instead of opting for ordinary holes, Corsair chose a much more intricate design. I'm a big fan of such seemingly unnecessary but thoughtful touches. In a normal sitting position, the cable cutout remains invisible as long as the monitor isn't raised beyond the 15-centimeter (5.9 in) mark (the distance between its bottom edge and the table surface). However, if you lift the monitor to its maximum height - just over 18 cm (7 in) - the cutout becomes visible, slightly detracting from the cleanliness of your desktop setup.
The bottom bezel has a large, white Corsair logo on it. A smaller, more discrete logo would work better with the overall design language of the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C, in my opinion.
The sturdy, metal, V-shaped base measures 64 cm (25.2 in) wide and approximately 30 cm (11.81 in) deep. This makes it quite large - larger than the base of the 45-inch Xeneon FLEX - and potentially challenging to accommodate on smaller desks.
Unlike the Xeneon FLEX, the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C supports VESA mounting, providing an easy solution for situations where the base is too large to fit.
The screen also swivels by around 30° to the left and right. The swivel mechanism is very smooth, so you can do the adjustment with one hand.
The screen of the Xeneon 34WQHD240-C can be tilted from roughly -5 to +15°. You'll need to grab the panel with both hands to change its tilt.
Also adjustable is the height of the panel. In the topmost position, the distance from the table to the bottom edge of the screen is 18.2 cm (7 in), and around 8.8 cm (3.46 in) after pushing the screen as low as it will go. That gives the monitor a total height-adjustment range of 9.4 cm (3.7 in) – a bit more than listed in the technical specifications.
