Chair Adjustments

Inspecting a chair thoroughly also includes taking a look at its ergonomic features. The two most frequently adjusted variables on any chair are its height and the tilt of the backrest, which you can in this particular case adjust by using the levers below the right side of the sitting area.

The first lever is on the right side of the sitting area. The angle between the backrest and sitting areas is statically adjustable by pulling up the lever. You can choose a point between 90° and 180°.

The backrest can literally fall into a flat position. We seriously doubt someone will ever do so, but Cougar has made it possible with their Armor chair.

No matter whether we find a use for it, the fact that it is a cool feature still remains! The backrest doesn't tilt forward at all, and there is no rocking mechanism.

The tilt's resistance can be adjusted over a knob under the chair. Since we found the default setting to be optimal, we did not mess with it. The next lever is at the rear of the sitting area and is for the tilt lock/free adjustment and the chair's height adjustments. The chair's base height ranges from 36-44 cm (14.17-17.32 ")

We found the height-adjustment lever to be in an awkward position for smaller people who are around 1.65 m tall. It's quite hard to reach the lever's position because it's situated way back and down. Taller people found this lever's placement to be optimal, though.

The chair is equipped with padded arm caps for comfort and support with 3D movements, made out of PU (polyurethane material). The armrests can be adjusted vertically, horizontally, and front-to-back, and you also have the option of angled adjustability with mechanical controls. There is also the chair's ability to swivel around 360 degrees.

Under the sitting area rests a class 4 gas lift cylinder responsible for all height adjustments. The chair comes with a hard plastic five-star base. Each of the five edges has five plastic stripes you could rest your feet on.

The chair's wheels are plastic caster wheels. Most users who have sat in this chair for several days have stated that these are more stable than those of other gaming chairs they have tried.
