Packaging

The packaging sticks to the same theme as with their other products, the name and a rather nice promotional image of the Cougar Attack X3 clearly featured on front. There is also plenty of information to keep us interested, and seeing a Cherry logo is always nice since it tells us that this keyboard uses quality switches.

The rear of the box is a little busy, but it does give us a far more in-depth look into what features we will see; a choice from among four switch types, on-board memory, multimedia keys, and several backlighting options are mentioned, including a plethora of other information.

On the side of the box is a specifications list.

The obverse side shows us which switch type this particular keyboard uses; I chose Cherry Blue switches this time around since they are the closest option to my usual switch choice. There are alternatives, though, such as Cherry Reds, Blacks, or Browns.

Inside the box, we have the keyboard in a protective plastic bag and the user's manual. There is nothing else, which is a shame. A keycap puller would have been nice since it makes cleaning keyboards a lot easier. It isn't a necessity though, and as with everything, the more accessories there are in the box, the higher the price.
