The Castle 360EX is a more subdued design with its black fans than the more contrast-heavy RGB everything units that have translucent fan blades and pump accents, and have been popular as of late. On this model, only the pump has RGB LEDs, and everything else blends in with the rest of the build. This kind of design is more what I myself enjoy. You get just enough RGB lighting to give it some flair, but it is not blinding or over the top as you can see in the video below. However, those who must have all the LEDs they can get may want to take a look at Deepcool's Captain PRO series instead.
Like the majority of all-in-one liquid CPU coolers, the Castle 360EX offered perfect clearance for not only system memory but the graphics card as well.
When it comes to pure looks, the RGB LEDs provide a nice touch that should look good in any system. Overall illumination is excellent with Deepcool managing to avoid going down the blinding neon rave road. Instead, they delivered a subtle glow that avoids being off-putting. I should also mention that it worked just fine with the MSI motherboard software. In the event of your motherboard not having an RGB 5-volt header, the in-line controller works just fine as well. That said, I would have preferred to see a wireless remote since it wouldn't require users to open the system to change the color. Yes, I know the remotes other companies are using can be considered somewhat chintzy, but the fact remains that if you don't use motherboard or software control, a remote is better than picking up the system and removing panels to hit a button on a control hub, just to make the system look the way you want at a given time.
