Overall the DeepCool LS720 all-in-one liquid cooler is a 360 mm offering that does quite well but has a few flaws. With regards to pure performance, it did quite well on our AMD test bench, scoring in the middle of the pack when looking specifically at 360 mm units. However, on our Intel test bench, it was heavily outperformed by other offerings. Now I will say it did manage to handle all the overclocked tests with room to spare, so it's not the end of the world by any means; the unit just doesn't offer best-in-class performance. Part of this is due to the tuned noise profile. While it still falls behind in noise normalized tests, it remains one of the quieter AIOs available when the fans spin at maximum RPM.
While it may not be the best overall performance option, the DeepCool LS720 does have numerous high notes. First and foremost is the mounting hardware, which is one of the best implementations around, especially on AMD. The use of threaded stand-offs means you won't need to fuss around with holding onto a backplate, mounting bracket, spacer, and screws, which are more common on air coolers and some AIOs on the AM4 platform. It also offers support for sTRX4, and sTR4, which is rare these days. The daisy-chainable ARGB and fan wiring, while leaning on the proprietary side, does make cable management easier, which is always nice. But the most important factor is support, and DeepCool backs the unit with a 5-year warranty, while also having it be attractively priced compared to competitors.
Other than that, it also has many of the same features one would expect from a liquid cooler. Namely, no memory or graphics card clearance issues that plague many top-tier air coolers. the LS720 also doesn't require a separate software solution or controller for the lighting. As for the overall build quality, I would consider it fantastic. The radiator has some heft, and the fans have a solid frame that feels durable in the hands, while also sporting fluid dynamic bearings. It also doesn't hurt that the pump cap is customizable to fit your theme if you are feeling creative. While the pump cap isn't ARGB illuminated (white LEDs), you can still customize it to any color you want with a bit of effort. Still, if DeepCool had used ARGB LEDs here, it would make the overall design feel more refined.
In general, the DeepCool LS720 is a good all-in-one liquid cooler for AMD enthusiasts. It offers decent performance, an attractive price, a solid warranty, and a nice set of features. However, on Intel, I was not as impressed. All the nice features don't quite make up for the performance discrepancy on that front. Therefore while I applaud the innovation from DeepCool, I can only really recommend the LS720 if you're running an AMD system.
