Deepcool was founded with the mission to provide the best performance and humanized thermal solutions for customers worldwide. Established in 1996, Deepcool originally produced desktop and server coolers for ODM partners. With the rapid development of personal computers, Deepcool expanded the business into desktop cooling products and laptop cooling accessories.
Deepcool has built up its distribution network in over sixty countries all over the globe, by which end-users can purchase Deepcool products online or in their nearest local stores. With more and more media exposure and publication, such as awards from renowned websites and magazines like Pure Overclock, Tom’s Hardware, Guru3d, CHIP, etc., Deepcool now enjoys a good reputation among daily computer users, gamers, and overclockers.
We will always spare no effort to maintain customer satisfaction by serving our customer’s ever-changing thermal needs and providing the quickest and most comprehensive service available. As our slogan goes, we wish you all “Enjoy your cool life!”
Deepcool may not be a company you hear of often, but offering up a wide range of products since 1996, they have been a part of the PC-cooling market for quite some time. The company produces fans, coolers, cases, and more. Starting with server- and desktop coolers for ODMs, Deepcool expanded into the company it is today, offering up innovative designs by R&D teams based in the United States, China, and Germany. These teams have created unique products with fantastic performance. Not only that, but they also make sure these products are RoHS and WEEE compliant.
As for killer products, Deepcool produces everything you can imagine when it comes to cooling computer hardware, including notebook coolers, cases, HDD coolers, VGA coolers, fans, and more. However, it is their newly launched Gamer Storm brand that is garnering attention. With products like the Dracula VGA cooler and the affordable heavyweight Assassin, they have staked out their claim in the enthusiast market. Anyone looking for aftermarket cooling should also take a look at what Deepcool offers.
In today's review, I will look at the Deepcool Gamer Storm Lucifer. This heavyweight heatsink has some serious style and can be used passively for that ultra-silent experience. Featuring six heatpipes, a mirror-finished copper base, and a silent 140mm fan, the Gamer Storm Lucifer has some meaty specifications for a $49.99 cooler.

Packaging and Contents
The box Deepcool ships their Gamer Storm Lucifer CPU cooler in is a great deal larger than I expected. It roughly measures 20 cm in length, 15 cm in width, and 30 cm in height. Its size is good news because it means the cooler is protected. The front presents the Gamer Storm logo, in a shiny black color, with a smaller version and "Lucifer" in a vibrant metallic green in the bottom-right corner. The left side details the cooler's features, which include its massive size, six copper heatpipes, the convex copper base, and the bundled 140 mm fan. The back of the box lists all the specifications and includes the information one would expect to see there.
The right side and top simply feature the product name, Lucifer, and the metallic green Gamer Storm logo.

Opening the box reveals neatly stacked cardboard boxes. One contains the mounting hardware and another holds the heatsink. The last box contains the UF140 mm fan. Everything is packaged exceptionally well to make sure the Deepcool Lucifer doesn't arrive with dents, dings, or scratches, which I and many enthusiasts can appreciate.
All modern sockets are supported, and the Gamer Storm Lucifer's mounting hardware is very simple and straightforward. Universal mounting brackets for AMD and Intel are included. The blackpate is also universal in its design. The small de-vibration buckles (the small black rubber pieces that look like old school magnets) are interesting as well. These keep the backplate screws in place and help reduce vibrations. The fan clips are straightforward, but where others only provide what is needed, Deepcool has included extras that allow the Gamer Storm Lucifer to utilize up to two fans.
