Comparisons
As was mentioned in the introduction I stated we'd lay the two X1900XT together and because they are both ATI reference PCB, meaning 'printed circuit board' designed to and within ATI's specifications the similarities should be obvious. So it was apparent with a few noticeable differences between the two video cards.
Using RaBIT to view the BIOS of both cards we can see above that Diamond changed the sub vendor to reflect their name, which to some is no big hoopla but I thought it showed a little bit more attention to detail. Both contained the same default ATI settings for memory timings, other than different part numbers and sub vendor name both BIOS contained the same settings.
Here is the Diamond Viper X1900XT with a Powercolor X1900XT - The Diamond is to the right. As you can see, there are no differences in the PCBs besides Diamonds logo and again a small detail but shows willingness to standout from the pack.
Again, the Diamond is to the right of the Powercolor. The heatsinks are the same besides the picture of Ruby, either card would make a nice addition to any rig.
