Packaging

The DM1 FPS comes in a simple, minimalist two-part box that has a lot of foam padding to protect the mouse from impacts. The contents of the package are the mouse itself, a quick start guide, and an extra set of mouse feet—the latter is a very nice addition all mouse manufacturers should put in the box by default!

Shape

No wonder the DM1 FPS has a shape many will likely find quite familiar. It is basically an OEM shell based on the renowned SteelSeries Sensei. Other newer mice, like the Nixeus Revel or Red Square 1337, also feature a similar shell with only minor differences. This is a very safe, widely used shape that works for many differently sized hands and grip styles. It features an ambidextrous form factor, but only has buttons on the left side, so it will mainly suit right-handed users. The back area flares out a bit, which makes it feel a bit bulky in that region, but gives your palms better support. The sides curve inward in a way that makes a stable grip on the shell easier to maintain, even while lifting up the mouse. The main buttons don't feature any comfort grooves.

Moving on to the measurements, the DM1 FPS is 126 mm (4.96") long, which makes it of average-medium length as far as mice are concerned. It is 68 mm (2.68") wide at the widest part, which is around the back, but the actual gripping width is about 55 mm (2.16"). 39 mm (1.54") tall at its tallest point, the hump is also located more towards the back than the middle. Generally, I wouldn't say this mouse is good for a standard palm grip as it is very low-profile. However, people with smaller hands may be able to successfully palm grip it comfortably.
