A Closer Look

The EKWB Predator 240 comes pre-filled, pre-configured, and ready to go. The radiator is their CoolStream PE 240 with copper tubes, brass chambers, and an aluminum housing. It has an FPI (fins per inch) of 19 and is solidly constructed. Attached to the housing is the PWM controller which is fed power via a SATA connector and controls the pump and fans. For those wondering, the tubing is around 16 inches / 40 cm in length.

The pump is attached to the radiator and is much more aesthetically pleasing in its placement compared to the design of the Swiftech H220-X and H240-X. The pump itself is a 6W DDC pump that is far more powerful than that used in closed-loop coolers, good for 3 blocks and 2 radiators. When it comes to the CPU block, EK is using their EK Supremecy MX which sports a black top plate and has a mirror-finished copper base. Everything thus far just screams top quality.

EK has provided two Vardar series F4-120ER 2200 RPM fans with the kit, and they have a max CFM of 77 and a static pressure of 3.16 mm H2O. From pump and radiator to fans and PWM controller, EKWB has really pushed the envelope in terms of build quality for a plug-and-play liquid CPU cooler.
