Packaging and Accessories

The packaging for the EK-Vardar EVO 120ER RGB fans is almost a palette-swap compared to the older, non-RGB version with an all-black background and a lit fan illustration on the front to immediately tell you what you are buying. There is also an RGB version of the EKWB logo on the front, alongside the product name and 0 dB feature of the motor that allows for the fan to stop completely at a low PWM duty cycle. On the back and sides are more illustrations and technical specifications, with a few more marketing features and the contact information for the company rounding it all off.

There are three seals on the sides to help keep the contents inside in place. Opening the box, we see that the only accessory that comes with these fans is a set of four self-tapping metal screws in a plastic pouch. Given these fans are meant to solely be used with a radiator, you would use them with the screws/mounting solution that came with your radiator instead. These self-tapping screws are more to provide an option in case you decide to use these as case fans, although you can get better options there if I say so myself. The fans themselves come in a plastic blister inlay, which is fairly thick and helps protect them further on top of the shipping packaging.
