The Eminent EM7280 hdMEDIA RT3 media player manages to deliver all the aspects of a latest generation model. With a fast processor, the playback and navigation is absolutely lag free. On top of that the unit ships with a unique and refreshingly good looking interface, which is easy to understand and offers plenty of functionality to make sure the EM7280 fits perfectly into your home theater setup. On top of that, the entire media player only draws 13.3W, which is extremely efficient and cannot be matched by a HTPC for example. There are a few small aspects that you should consider though. The player, as is the case with most on the market, uses a small fan to keep the internals, especially the hard drive, cool. While it is not loud at all, it is noticeable and may bother some. The second aspect is, that you may be hard pressed to find an EM7280 to buy in your location. That said, the Eminent EM7280 is an excellent and well performing media player, able to take on the likes of AC Ryan and Fanatec with features neither of those big brands manage to offer.
