The Enermax Platimax 1200 is a top quality unit that performs really well. It is highly efficient, can deliver its full power even in inferno environments, ripple at +12V is non existent and the fan doesn't output significant noise and at lower loads is barely audible. On top of that the unit can power eight PCIe connectors along with two EPS ones at the same time and still has room for two extra PCIe connectors, if you purchase the corresponding modular cable. Also its manufacturing quality is very high and Enermax didn't worry about implementation cost when they designed it and chose the appropriate components. The two main problems I spotted are the ultra high price tag that totally cripples performance per Dollar and the loose voltage regulation at +12V.

To sum up, the Platimax 1200W has three aces up its sleeve. It can deliver some of the highest efficiency levels we have ever measured even at 50°C, with the provided cables it can power up to four high-end VGAs and does so without making much noise. The only downsides are the loose voltage regulation at +12V and the stiff price. Two significant factors which cannot spoil the good overall impression that this PSU made here.
