Packaging

The small packaging is nice with its white background and blue touch ups. The series description in a silver font can be found near the middle of the front. The Bronze efficiency badge is in the bottom-right corner, right next to the capacity description. Enermax's logo resides in the top-left corner.


The table on this side has the power specifications of all three MAXM ADV series members.


This side includes a table of all the connectors that equip the NAXN ADV units. All share the same number of peripheral connectors, but the strongest member has two additional PCIe connectors.


The back has a description of all available features along with references to the flat stealth cables and Japanese hold-up cap. We also found an illustration depicting the unit's ErP Lot 6 2013 compatibility. Near the bottom-right corner, Enermax informs us that this is a power supply and asks us to visit their webpage for more information. Well, that is good to know!

The PSU inside the box is only protected by bubble wrap. We would like to see more protection for the unit through, for example, some foam sheets. The AC power cord is in a small compartment on the left.


The bundle is pretty poor, since it doesn't include any Velcro straps or zip ties. Along with the PSU, you will only get the essentials—namely, an AC power cord, a user's manual, a set of fixing bolt, and the power guard clip that holds the power cord in place.

Exterior

The PSU features a nice, matte finish we usually see on more expensive units. This finish is scratch- and fingerprint resistant and looks real cool! The good-looking NAXN logo has been painted across both sides. The unit's front has the exhaust honeycomb grill, AC receptacle, and a small on/off switch. A plastic grommet protects all the native cables protruding out of the back from any sharp edges. Finally, the specifications label has been installed on the bottom. The opposite side has the classically designed fan grill with a nice center badge.


This is the first time we meet a non-modular PSU featuring flat and stealth wires. This nice move by Enermax will help with cable management since flat cables can be routed around inside the case easily without obstructing airflow to the degree round cables do.
