Finished Looks
I will readily admit that photographing a white cooler is never an easy task, but the Enermax ETS-F40-FS is a nice-looking cooler regardless. The top plate features an angular design that adds visual appeal, with the LED lighting a focal point. The fins are also white, and with the rest of the fan, everything comes together for those looking to put together a white or high-contrast system build. Compared to bare aluminium designs, the coating on the fins is fingerprint-resistant, which is a plus if that is something you care about.
In terms of memory and graphics card clearance, there were no issues on the Intel and AMD platforms. However, as these are full-size motherboards, there could be clearance issues on Mini-ITX platforms, so do your research based on the platform you're using. Otherwise, for Micro-ATX and ATX-based systems, there should be no clearance problems to speak of.
The ARGB lighting is tasteful and bright because of the cooler's white finish, which does have some trade-offs. For instance, when the LEDs are set to red, you get more of an orange compared to all-black coolers. Meanwhile, the blue and green settings are more vibrant because of the bright white design. Therefore, if you like a red/black theme, go with the black version. If you want a high contrast build or prefer blue or green lighting, the white version makes those colors pop more. Regardless, the ARGB lighting was good, and I did not notice any flickering or other oddities.
