Packaging and Accessories

EVGA owns and operates a web shop in the USA, and so, this section begins with a quick look at the shipping packaging. I have ordered multiple times directly from them and have always been impressed with the packaging. A well-sized box with appropriate spacing around and packing air bags helped deliver this product perfectly.


The product packaging itself has a plastic wrap around it, and once removed, we see that EVGA has adopted a clean aesthetic with a black and white color scheme for the box. Not much to see here aside from the company and product name, there is a sticker on the side with more information about the particular SKU and unit and a seal to help keep the contents inside in place. I am not sure what this has to do with gaming necessarily as that seems to be a marketing buzz word added for the sake of it.


Open the box and you are greeted by the installation guide. This is easily among the better written and detailed manuals out there, so props to EVGA for this. They go over multiple installation routes, there being guides for the waterblock's installation without a backplate, the NVIDIA Founders Edition backplate or EVGA ACX backplate, and instructions are clear throughout. Below the block lie the other accessories, most of which come in neatly labeled plastic ziplock pouches. You get an H6 Allen key, a 2-gram tube of EVGA Frostbite TIM, which is rated at 6.5 W/mK, five M2.5x5 screws, two M2.5x5 nuts, and fourteen M2.5x4.2 screws.
