The EVGA X20 has a rather unusual right-handed ergonomic shape. The raised left side is a hallmark of any right-handed ergonomic design, but it is much more pronounced on the X20, to where a ledge is formed. In fact, the X20 doesn't have an actual hump as most of the height comes from the ledge, whereas everything else is fairly low-profile and not as bulky. Additionally, the left side flares out to a greater degree towards the back, creating something resembling a thumb rest, albeit not as flat. It is a somewhat dubious design as the sniper button resides on said ledge, basically completely out of reach and thus defeating its purpose. Meanwhile, the side buttons are positioned right below, where the thumb would typically sit, leaving little room for it. Another curiosity is the front extending further on the right side, which almost creates the impression that the entire mouse has been rotated and shifted even though said rotation doesn't include the sensor. A unique design for sure, but what's more surprising is that it works fairly well in practice. It didn't take me long to adjust to the X20, and I came to enjoy the shape more than I expected.
As for grip styles, I'd say the X20 is mostly suited for palm and claw grip. It's a medium to large mouse with a barely pronounced hump, which makes it suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the X20 comfortable in claw grip.
Dimensions
This table includes the dimensions of the EVGA X20 and several other right-handed ergonomic mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
