Fractal Design is exceptionally well known at this point for their Define series of cases. However, their Celsius series of all-in-one liquid coolers has also proven reliable and popular with their older designs performing exceptionally well while also having some interesting features. Based in Sweden, the company has gained quite the following over the years with their commitment to minimalist, elegant designs—it is not all that hard to see why.
In today's review, I take a look at Fractal Design's Celsius+ S28 Prisma. This standard-sized 280 mm all-in-one liquid CPU cooler delivers RGB lighting and sleek looks, but where it differs from the competition is the built-in PCB that handles RGB and fan control on the radiator. This addition helps limit cable clutter and makes for an exceptionally clean-looking cooler with everything configured. Our review sample being a 280 mm offering will also be a nice change of pace since the majority of all-in-one liquid coolers tend to utilize 240 mm or 360 mm radiators. That said, let's take a closer look at what is in the box.

The box is bright and colorful—the Celsius+ S28 Prisma displayed on the front gives any buyer looking at it on a store shelf a full look at what they are getting. On the left side are an image detailing the dimensions of the radiator and a note on the included fans and the sockets the cooler supports. The back is where Fractal Design chose to list the cooler's features, such as the glass-topped pump with an ARGB LED ring and automatic temperature control.
A look at the right side reveals no images or usable information, and the same goes for the top. However, the bottom lists the cooler's features again, but in various languages this time around.
Contents
Like most all-in-one liquid coolers, it comes in a cardboard tray, which is essentially the industry standard for these. I did notice the lack of foam on top, which I did not like even if it would only provide minimal protection, so there is room for a tiny bit of improvement here.
The cooler supports all the sockets you would expect, including AMD's TR4 socket via the included mounting hardware that comes with those CPUs. Adapter cables, extensions, etc., are not included or needed because of the built-in ARGB and PWM hub, which keeps things far more manageable.
