A Closer Look
The ARES product line design is quite different from other G.Skill lines, but the product label you find on one side of the sticks is not. Including timings, model number, and voltage, you will find all the basic information you need on that label.
The esthetic is sleek and shiny, and, barring that product label, identical on both sides.
The heatsink wraps around the stick from top to bottom and reaches down to above the DIMM's golden fingers.
Look closely at both ends and you will find some numbers to tell you that there are eight PCB layers in total.
These sticks are single-sided, so there is only stuff on one side of the PCB. Ares is the Greek god of war, so I actually expected somewhat more of a physical representation of Godhood itself, like with the TridentX's fins in a trident-like shape, but I only found something on the end of the heatsink I am not even going to guess about.
Alright, looking at the entire stick, these might be wings and arrows, or perhaps a hint of a military emblem...
