A Closer Look
Since I've already covered one of these Ripjaws4 kits and they've been on the market some time, the provided esthetic should be fairly familiar. I was impressed to see a unique label on the sticks that closely matches the rest of the stick, rather than a bright red "4" in the middle of a sea of blue.
These sticks are fully ready for low-airflow environments, with sufficient clearance for most aftermarket coolers.
Looking at one of the sticks, we can find layer markings that show the PCB to be made of 8 layers.
The other end mentions the DIMM's speed, hidden under the heatspreader. Turn it around and you will also see some golden letters on the other side.
The label comes with all the pertinent information, including speed, timings, voltage, and a bunch of other stuff. So you can check the label and look at the end of the stick to make sure your stick is legitimate (not that I have ever heard of it being a problem). There's also the hologram with the date of manufacture on the bottom.
